In 2006, Cathy earned her Real Estate license and began working with Mark at his Coldwell Banker office in Santa Barbara. Since that time, Cathy has worked as Mark’s protégé developing her skills as a real estate professional. In addition to working with Mark on many real estate transactions with both buyers and sellers, Cathy and Mark have negotiated and managed the purchase and sale of more than ten personal real estate transactions over the years.

Cathy’s feelings about Real Estate thus far, “I just love this business. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to help friends and clients with achieving their real estate goals and dreams. In today’s climate, Real Estate transactions require exceptional negotiating skills, aggressive marketing and advertising experience, responsiveness to the changing market, and in-depth knowledge of real estate contracts, financing, and the escrow process. Mark has been a fantastic Real Estate mentor to me. With over 29 years of very successful Real Estate experience, Mark has guided my training by demonstrating to me his professional expertise in market knowledge, negotiating the best price and terms for his buyers and sellers, and working with both lenders and escrow to ensure that his Real Estate transactions are successful and that his client goals are achieved. Together, we are working together to provide exceptional Real Estate service and support to our friends and clients.“

Before getting into real estate, Cathy worked as a quality engineering professional and consultant for over 27 years. This work required technical skill as well as great attention to detail, strong communication skills, aggressive negotiating skills, determination and the utmost honesty, integrity, and diplomacy. During this career, she has successfully worked for a few local Santa Barbara companies and with over 100 customers and suppliers. This past work has included spending weeks at a time working in Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, and China.

The Moseley Family
(Left to Right: Michael, Cathy, Mark, Sarah, Amanda)

Cathy and Mark are fortunate to be raising their three children in Santa Barbara. Parenting and being active in their children’s many activities has been very important to both of them. This has lead to their involvement in AYSO Soccer, Goleta Valley Girls Softball, Page Youth Center basketball, and local Pony Club activities.  They have both served as board members and on committees for More Mesa Shores Homeowner’s Association over the past 20 years.  Additionally, Cathy is active in our local schools, volunteers in the classroom, and acts as room parent on a regular basis.  Mark and Cathy further support the local community by making a monetary donation every time they close an escrow.  These donations are made to favorite local charity of their client’s choice.
